Paul went to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and received his BA. In 1982 he received his masters at the Yale University Divinity School in Connecticut. His MD was attained from the University of Iowa in 1983. Paul did his residency at St. Luke*s Hospital in Milwaukee from 1984 to 1987. He joined Homefirst® in 1987 and became a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice in 1990.

His goal in practicing medicine is to listen carefully to patients and help them come to realize that the power to regain and maintain health lies within themselves.
